Too much focus on propaganda, too little on actual reasons for the campaign[edit]
The potato beetle started to spread during the time where were insecticides weren't widespread and its influence on potato producing countries was severe. While of course the campaign was reinforced by propaganda,there were sound rational reasons for fighting its spread.

Sure. This is still a work in progress. I wrote the propaganda part first because it was more fun to write (I knew someone was going to 'tone down the language'! Oh well) I was planning on adding info on both the actual infestation and damage as well as modern situation, just haven't gotten around to it yet.
