WRFC as a "premier" team[edit]

While I have no problem labeling certain teams as "premier", I had to eliminate the label from the WRFC article. Though WRFC plays in the premier USA competition, they are often the club cited when the US rugby community complains that the SuperLeague does not attract the best clubs the US has to offer. I realise that the "tradition of excellence" is a club motto of sorts, but since 2000, WRFC is 4-44 in league play. This a winning percentage of less than 10%. In 2006 alone, they were outscored by more than 100 points in 7 games, which means that WRFC was losing matches by an average of 15 points. Other non-SuperLeague clubs have fared much better against SuperLeague clubs than WRFC. All of this information lends towards not labeling WRFC as a premier club. However, if one wanted to mention that they host one of the premier annual US tournaments, I'd have no problem with that, as I'm sure I could find sources that applaud and herald the Cherry Blossom tournament as being one of the best, if not the best, large-scale US tournaments. hoopydinkConas tá tú? 02:23, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I labled it that way because they play in the Super League. I knew they were pretty bad but I didn't know that they wern't as good as non Super League teams. Thanks for the correction. Would you maybe write some more in this article because you certainly know what your talking about. Also if you have time could you help me start a Cherry Blossom article? - Outside Center
Hi! I don't know a ton about WRFC, but I'd be happy to contribute what I do know about the club. I think starting a Cherry Blossom Tournament article would be a great idea, and I'd definitely be able to contribute on that topic on a larger scale than I would this article. Also, you can sign your comments by using four tidles ( ~ these things) at the end of your post instead of typing your username. hoopydinkConas tá tú? 23:09, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
