J.C. Penney - Opening Date at Oregon's Washington Square[edit]
Did J.C. Penney open its doors at Oregon's Washington Square mall in 1975 or 1980? Go grab your vintage newspapers or check out the microfilm relating to The Oregonian or Hillsboro Argus to verify.

There appears to be some confusion about JCPenney. Depending on the source, some claim that it opened with the rest of the mall, while others claim that it, along with the Mervyn's (now Dick's) location, were added in 1980 as an expansion of the mall.
