Re-arranged to focus more on the three waters reforms[edit]

I have rewritten the lead, and re-arranged content in the body to give more attention to the major nationwide reform programme for the Three Waters. There is much still to do, but hopefully these revisions help to give the article more focus, and make it more immediately relevant to readers. I intend to continue with improvements to the article that will provide a clearer picture of the legacy, the current state, the case for reform and the progress of the consultation and reform programme.Marshelec (talk) 03:16, 17 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Further improvements planned[edit]

I plan further improvements, to:

  • update data and commentary as required, based on the 2019/20 National Performance Review published by Water New Zealand
  • include progress of the major reforms proposed by Government for the three waters
  • provide the latest long range expenditure forecasts on the three waters nationwide
  • move section on asset management planning towards the top of the article, and expand
  • summarise implications of the proposed industry reforms for Local Government (although most of this topic should probably be covered in the article Local government in New Zealand
  • provide content and citations about nitrates in New Zealand drinking water and the implications
  • provide content about wastewater plants breaching consents
  • (possibly) adding a small section for the industry association: Water New Zealand, since there may not be sufficient independent references to establish notability for a stand-alone article

This will take me a few weeks at least. Any assistance would be great. Marshelec (talk) 08:55, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
