I think it is is the other way around. The original source material cited in Tannisse Twyman Blatchford is the author of An Honorable Heritage: A Biography of Wayne Township, Illinois, 1834-1984 of which I have an original copy. Further more we did not use the hemp information and I suspect that your encyclopedia actual was citing Blatchford originally. -OtherBeach — Preceding unsigned comment added by Otherbeach (talkcontribs) 18:29, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for noting your concern. I've double-checked, and I'm afraid that they published the material before we did. The oldest archive I can find on the website is March 2006. The material that I removed entered this article in September of that year. This content was added to our article by an editor with an unfortunate history of copying content from copyrighted website. See Wikipedia:Contributor copyright investigations/Racepacket for more information. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:44, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry, not sure if I understand. I am claiming that http://encyclopedia.chicagohistory.org got their material from Blatchford, the same source I used and cited for edits. It sounds like you are saying someone -not me- put material here in 2006, which you removed. So my contention is that I am using Blatchford's material from 1984, same as the encyclopedia's. This is a bit of a circular mess and if you have any suggestions on how to handle it, please do. I would like to add back some of Blatchford's material regarding founding.

Oh, I thought you were saying they copied from us - that's what's generally meant by "the other way around." It happens a lot.
The issue is not the information - information is free for anyone - but the content that was removed took much of the precise language from that site. For our purposes, it doesn't matter if the Chicago History Encyclopedia copied from Blatchford or wrote the text, since Blatchford is copyrighted as well. We can't use it either way. If you want to add information on the history, written in your own words and structure and cited to the source, that's certainly fine. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:28, 21 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Quick Question[edit]

The Village of Wayne has a sister city in Nogent-Le-Rotrou, France- but I'm not sure where to put it in the article. 216.171.8.21 (talk) 00:32, 30 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
