While there's no doubt that content in our article closely matches that found in pp 147 following of the book, the presence of the content in our article predates the book and shows signs of natural evolution. For example, the key features section was added here on 1 September 2007 by someone in Germany ([1]) and substantially modified here weeks later to bring it closer to that external publication. It's unlikely that the content would have been copied in changed form from the book and then changed back. Moreover, the content on Architecture - also in that book - was already present in the article when the features section was added and had been for some time. The sentence "To understand the WBEM architecture, consider the components which lie between the operator trying to manage a device (configure it, turn it off and on, collect alarms, etc.) and the actually hardware and software of the device:" was added to this article in 2005 by someone in Canada. It is far more likely that the content was copied from Wikipedia than the other way around. --Moonriddengirl ^(talk) 19:24, 8 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

====CIMOM .v. WBEM Server

In the draft which is proposed to replace this article there is significant confusion between the CIMOM and the WBEM Server. The CIMOM is only a part of the WBEM server and many of the functions credited to it in the draft actually belong to the WBEM Server.

"WBEM specifications" section outdated[edit]

"WBEM schema" and "WS-Management" are no longer "under development". The version numbers might also be outdated, I did not check. --MathsPoetry (talk) 07:43, 6 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
