Theresa Weld[edit]

I strongly disagree. Do you have any basis for including her as part of this family other than her birth in Greater Boston? If you don't, it's not appropriate to include her. I suggest you look for references to support your claim. Boston (talk) 22:12, 15 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  - According to these Rootsweb trees [1] [2], Theresa Weld is a descendant of the immigrant Joseph Weld. I will look for a more reliable source but it is safe to assume the validity of this descent.--Michael White^T·C 16:26, 16 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tuesday Weld[edit]

I have moved the following comment from the section of the article Tuesday Weld:

Lothrop Motley Weld II As nearly as I know,my step-father was third cousin of William Weld, not third cousin once removed. He was one of his father's oldest children and much older than Bill Weld. He was Tuesday's brother.

It was added to the article by an anonymous editor on 05:06, 19 June 2011 (UTC). Perhaps an editor with more knowledge (and one that cares) could address this. HairyWombat 20:40, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Lewis Ledyard Weld[edit]

Need to add this person. He was Theodore Dwight Weld's nephew and played an important role in the formation of the state of Colorado. A short bio is available in "Weld Collections," C.F. Robinson, privately printed, 1938, p.208 owlsplace 13:12, 23 October 2014 (UTC)

Not the only Welds in the world[edit]

If the title stands as is, then it is misleading as it does not take account of the English Welds who are much older and equally extended and illustrious. The page should reflect that it is only about the American Welds.--Po Mieczu (talk) 00:52, 29 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
