Motive power[edit]

Can anyone explain why in the Equipment section, WCE's locomotives are described as being GM F59PHIs, while down below in the Fleet section, they're described as being GE P42 Genesises ("Geneses," perhaps?)? -Sewing - talk 17:17, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fare Paid Zone vs. Fare paid zone[edit]

Primergrey changed "Fare Paid Zone" to "Fare paid zone". I changed it back, then Joeyconnick expressed doubt about my change. To explain my reasoning: if you search TransLink's site for the string "fare paid zone", in the vast majority of instances, all three words of the term are capitalized. That suggests that TransLink thinks that it's a proper noun. Since TransLink defines and manages the zones, I deferred to TransLink's preferred capitalization. @Stephen Hui: I noticed that, but I also noticed that they sometimes don't refer to it in title case. I mean, really it should be "fare-paid zone" whatever the capitalization. I'm not sure we should be allowing TransLink to dictate what is and what isn't capitalized given obviously outside of TransLink's domain, "fare paid zone" is not a proper noun. But I don't feel strongly enough to get into an extensive debate over it and I appreciate you taking the time to explain why you made the change. —Joeyconnick (talk) 06:31, 12 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
