Minor clarification[edit]

Is the West Yorkshire League part of the National League System? I can't seem to find an official confirmation about this as this league is not mentioned as being part of the System. Any clear clarification? --Siva1979Talk to me 15:00, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, only the Central Midlands League of the leagues commonly assumed to be feeders of the Northern Counties East League are "officially" part of the pyramid. See the page League Structure 2004-05, which should be relatively unchanged for 05/06, apart from the Combined Counties League Division One being made Step 6. What happens for 2006-07 is anyone's guess. Two teams from the West Yorkshire League (Nostell Miners Welfare from the Premier Division and AFC Emley from Division One) are expected to join the Northern Counties East League for next season.fchd 09:45, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, what bothers me about this webpage is that it is outdated. It is correct up to only the 29th February 2004! I believe a lot might have changed since then. And on this webpage [1], it is stated that it is a feeder to the Northern Counties East Football League Division One. Moreover the Premier Division is a level 11 league. Why the confusion? --Siva1979Talk to me 02:34, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Not that much has changed in the structure of the pyramid since Feb 2004 actually. The Combined Counties League Div One going from Step 7 to Step 6 being about all that I can recall. The major changes this summer will be the addition of the fifth Step 4 league, plus the disbandment of the Isthmian League Division 2. At the same time, the top divisions of the West Midlands (Regional) League and the Midland Combination will become officially Step 6, but the other feeder to the Midland Alliance, the Leicestershire Senior League will remain Step 7. Tom's thepyramid.info site is excellent, but lacks the ability to differentiate between official feeder arrangements and unofficial ones. fchd 05:25, 26 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
