History[edit]

I changed the date of the foundation from 1855 to 1856. My sources are http://www.mrcophth.com/Historyofophthalmology/ophthalmologyinuk.htm and http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/hospitalrecords/details.asp?id=720&page=69 , but I don't think it's worth including these references in the article.

The original article by Mrbubblefishman on 24 August 2006 said: "will celebrate its 150th birthday in november 2006" (now!), but this was edited out by ENeville on 9 September 2006 -- why? Isidore 19:21, 12 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I am making some minor changes to formatting, for example removing the capital letters from Emergency Ophthalmology Department and 'the' from 'The Western Eye Hospital' ('the' is not part of its name, just as there is no 'the' in front of 'Charing Cross Hospital'). I am also updating the external links, because they are out of date, and adding in the other hospitals within Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.--Arelbe6 (talk) 14:08, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
