Mosul-Deir Ezzor-Palmyra offensive[edit]

Mr. editor, not to delete this article in my God, please. Three days I worked and struggled with the data that you put together. Wipe those parts of you suggested that there was no connection. Обрисаo sam део гde се спомиње 2017 Hama offensive, Khan Shaykhun and US Shayrat strikes. Although I think that these three military operations postpone this major military operation Mosul-Deir Ezzor-Palmyra offensive. Yet I took your advice not to mix apples and oranges.

You told me this:

The article Mosul-Deir Ezzor-Palmyra offensive has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There is really no evidence that the two offensives are coordinated at all. The Eastern Homs offensive towards Deir ez-Zor and the Nineveh-Anbar offensive in Iraq are completely different operations.

Here I disagree with you. I can see the resemblance as 2017 southern Syrian Desert campaign which was launched in three stages Free Syrian Army against ISIL from December 2016 to May 2017 and to the current military operation regime against the Free Syrian Army in the wilderness of 7 th May. Pr. Baghdad–Damascus highway. In this war, a joint Iraq-Syria-Russia-Iran coalition, with support from the air međunareodne led by the US, ISIL is attached to the clamp. Special Iraqi army, which led to heavy fighting for nearly a month, approaching the Syrian border. Syrian Arab Army is much more difficult situation in relation to the Iraqi army, because they fought on the side against multiple enemies. But on May 12, when the main forces of the Syrian Arab army launched an attack on an oil pipeline in Arak, I think we both understand what Assad regime has as its main objective Eastern Homs offensive after the expulsion of ISIL in March Palmira. The aim is to unblock the city of Deir ez-Zor who is three years under siege and the return of oil and gas pipelines around the Euphrates. And one more thing. Since 2015, Iraq and Syria are not hiding joint military struggle against the Islamic state. I think we both know the public for their co-operation against the Islamic state. So I think that in the coming days to show that I was right. If it turns out my false statement, then I ask you to share this article decrease in some small articles on small-scale military operations. For now, ISIL is pressed from both sides, and perhaps a third of the Kurdish SDF that I forgot to put it in the template article as one of the most important factors in the fight against the Islamic State. I was tired. --Baba Mica (talk) 05:42, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the deletion of the whole article is too far. However, these are clearly three separate, uncoordinated offensives in in the area. There should be three articles for each: the Eastern Homs offensive which is the same thing as the main SAA offensive on Deir ez-Zor, the Battle of Mosul, and the upcoming offensive in the Nineveh countryside. Since the former two offensives already have their own articles, I suggest that the Nineveh Governorate offensive be the scope of this article. While the three offensives may be related in the wider scope, the ones in Syria and Iraq are not coordinated with each other, which this article currently suggests so. Editor abcdef (talk) 05:58, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Mr. Editir abdcf. Remember that we are likely to slow down in front of two or three months on the articles Palmyra offensive (2017) and Eastern Homs offensive, but the most eye Qaboun offensive (2017) and the date of commencement of military operations (18 February) and in the end you have a month or more days of violent escalation between the regime and the opposition. At the end you got back all my change to its original condition, even though you have previously challenged character, changed the date of the beginning of the fight, I suggest you wipe, and finally returned to its original state with many more amendments. Now it has been more than seven days after the victory of the Syrian Arab army against the rebels, but I said from the beginning showed that Asad suburb of Damascus Kaboun designed as a military target to be eliminated in order to isolate the largest rebel enclave East Ghota and forced the opposition and Turkey to negotiate . This is now happening.--Baba Mica (talk) 07:16, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It was one of my articles is not convincing that deleted because he had nothing special. This is a short conflict in cities across Khanasir between the Syrian Arab Army and the Islamic State in January, but it was nothing special. There was an attempt offensive Free Syrian Army in Latakia province on April 6, but the attack quickly fell apart and the article that I opened immediately deleted. All these articles are deleted because they belong to a real military operation like this in Iraq and just started east of Palmyra (need more evidence, or 70% to be moving in the direction of Deir ez-Zor).--Baba Mica (talk) 07:44, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@LightandDark2000, EkoGraf, MonsterHunter32, Applodion, and GroundlessAir: what do you all think about this? Editor abcdef (talk) 10:54, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'll leave part of our dialogue on the talk page. I hope that it will be read, and maybe they read my arguments? --Baba Mica (talk) 16:16, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like a vandal even though it might not be a vandal. There is no one offensive. However all of the offensives against ISIS except Syrian Army against ISIS are part of USA's joint efforts in a military war/campaign so it can be probably be represented under American intervention in Iraq and Syria. MonsterHunter32 (talk) 17:06, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with both Editor and Monster. The article is an obvious unsourced original research event. However, some of the info can be spread out and merged with other already existing articles. EkoGraf (talk) 01:58, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Editor abcdef: "Mosul-Deir Ezzor-Palmyra offensive" looks like ridiculous name in my opinion same as "2017 Southern Syrian Desert campaign", why is word southern needed here? it has long evolved past the word "southern" just Syrian desert campaign would do. As for whether "Mosul-Deir Ezzor-Palmyra offensive" should be single article.. probably not, they are different offensives launched by armies of different nations, the only thing thy have in common is ISIL as belligerent on the other side. GroundlessAir (talk) 08:09, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Its southern because it took place in the southern part of the Syrian desert. Just like we call the current SAA offensive against IS the Eastern Aleppo offensive because its in the eastern part of the province. If we left it just Syrian desert campaign it would have to include SAA operations against IS in the Palmyra area as well since that is also located in the Syrian desert. EkoGraf (talk) 16:30, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like a plan, if somebody thought "Mosul-Deir Ezzor-Palmyra offensive" is a good name then why not merge Palmyra-Deir Ez Zor road, Baghdad-Damascus highway and Syrian Desert offensives? GroundlessAir (talk) 22:31, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Mosul-Deir Ezzor-Palmyra offensive isn't a good name because there is no Mosul-Deir Ezzor-Palmyra offensive and it was created based purely on unsourced original research. The East Homs offensive, the Highway offensive and the rebel southern desert campaign are/were all separate/different/unrelated operations which cann't be lumped in together. EkoGraf (talk) 13:23, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Not a bad idea for the title of this article Mosul-Palmira offensive. Because it is a coordinated military operation Iraqi Army and the Syrian Arab Army. Why I called the Mosul-Deir ez-Zor offensive? Because the two armies aim to come to the river Euphrates and unblock a long time besieged city of Deir Ez Zor. What is it? City of Palmyra is Syrian Arab Army in March freed from occupation ISIL 100%, and the Iraqi army Grad Mosul released more than 90%. The main preoccupation of both the regular army's Deir ez-Zor and the banks of the river Euphrates. Maybe it should be inserted Syrian opposition as the third factor of this very complex military operation, but she is kicked out of play 7th May when Syrian Arab Army launched in 2017 Baghdad-Damascus highway offensive military positions of the opposition, which is from March freed from the forces of ISIL s. In this way, the Syrian army opened a whole new front. This is the South Front in the Syrian desert. However, Mosul-Deir Ezzor-Palmyra offensive relates to the North Front Syrian desert. There Syrian Arab Army wants to survive dominant in the fight against ISIL. Especially in East Homs and Deir Ez Zor, which controls 60% of the city. The US role in the fight against ISIL is leading. Especially in Iraq. The US air force has contributed to the successful offensive of the Free Syrian Army in the South of the Syrian desert. The US role in the fight against ISIL is leading. Especially in Iraq. The US air force has contributed to the successful offensive of the Free Syrian Army in the South of the Syrian desert. Leading the ground military operations from Jordan. When the Free Syrian Army crossed the eastern province of Homs and Deir Ez Zor, Syrian Arab Army has decided to prevent the incursion of rebels in the government's interest zone. Therefore launched 2017 Baghdad-Damascus highway offensive. If the Iraqi army discontinue further progress towards Syria and not to enter Syrian territory and finish the military operation after the Siege Al-Qairawan, then you should shorten the article on Western Nineveh campaign (2017). Evidence of cooperation Russia-Syria-Iran-Iraq coalition is existing. Time will tell whether this cooperation of Syria and Iraq with the support of Russia and Iran in general successful. As things stand now, it seems that the Russian-Iranian coalition wants to leading military operations in the northern Syrian desert, but not the Americans nor the Kurds will not watch idly as silent observers. Americans and Kurds fighting and bombing ISIL from the beginning Wherever they arrive. Only this time their military operations shifted towards the town of Raqqa. Deir ez-Zor pevashodni not announced as a priority. Turkey's role is not clear to me. Turkey is clearly on the side of anyone who is against ISIL, but in the north of Syria consistently pushes the pistons under the wheels of the Kurdish-American coalition. Persistently disruptive Kurds and cooperation with Russia and the Syrian government. Wherever they can. Otherwise an essential part in Iraq. Pposao with ISIL in Syria completed after the Battle of Al Bab and forming the Turkmen buffer zone between Kurda in the West (Afrin) which are more related to the Syrian mode and Russia and Kurds Manbidžu, weird and Hasaki which are 90% related to the Americans and their coalition against ISIL. Very interesting will be the turn of events in Central and Eastern (Syrian desert) and west of Iraq and finally to clarify how effective and whether there is a further perspective Russia-Syria-Iran-Iraq coalition. Although the United States every kind of support to the fight against ISIL, I'm not sure that the US has a favorable view of the four coalition (Russia-Syria-Iran-Iraq). Especially because of expansion of Iran, which is a strategic enemy of Israel (the most loyal ally of the United States in modern history). Israel has on its border with Syria (the Golan Heights) really ISIL this fortress. Israel is the most vulnerable country in the Middle East, and never sleeps. The dominance of Iran in Syria is even worse nightmare for Israel. And that is why I am convinced that due to too strong Russia Hezbollah-Syria-Iran-Iraq coalition, Israel will do everything to that military cooperation loosened just in route Mosul-Deir Ez Zor-Palmyra. --Baba Mica (talk) 09:23, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This should be the most important article in the Syrian civil war. After the Battle of Aleppo, The Battle of Mosul and will soon begin Battle of Raqqa (which is planned). This breaks the backbone of ISIL. I'm responsible. Help me, please, or rearrange. The battle for the city of Mosul has nothing to do with the battle in the west of the province. These operations are aimed at Deir ez-Zor penetration from the east to the Euphrates. Similarly Palmyra offensive (2017) Airport T4 from January to March in the province of East Homs. Eastern Homs offensive (2017).--Baba Mica (talk) 00:02, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Baba Mica, you say it is a coordinated military operation Iraqi Army and the Syrian Arab Army. Its not, there are no sources that confirm its a coordinated military operation and thus its purely unsourced original research which is not acceptable per Wikipedia's policy. There is a lot of material that can be used in this article if spread out among other already existing articles. But lumping it all together into one article, no. EkoGraf (talk) 13:23, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Help[edit]

I ask all members and experienced administrators to assist the restructuring of this important article. I worked three days and three nights. This breaks the backbone of the Islamic state. Skull ISIL is a city of Ar Rakka in which the Kurds are ready to attack until the end of May. However, the fate of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant will decide on the Euphrates about Deir Ez Zora. The Iraqi army on April 24, a special military operation in the western province of Mosul is not related to the fight for the city, which before liberation. Syrian Arab Army in coordination with Russia, Iran and Iraq from 12 May launched an offensive on the eastern pipeline Arak, with the clear intention to come and unblock the three years under siege Deir ez-Zor. To know and young children. The Iraqi army, with the help of American aviation violates everything in sight and in full swoop.--Baba Mica (talk) 01:13, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Evidence of co-operation?[edit]

I can't see a mention in any of these sources of co-operation between the Iraqi and Syrian militaries. Perhaps an article with a title along the lines of 'Western Nineveh campaign (2017)' would be more relevant, in addition to the pre-existing articles about simultaneous offensives in eastern Syria. If evidence of a larger-scale offensive involving co-ordinated advances on both sides of the border surfaces, then we could do a move or merger. Cirrus87 (talk) 14:47, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

There are no sources of co-operation, that's the problem here. The article was created based simply on the opinion of the article's creator, thus its unsourced original research. To be renamed to 'Western Nineveh campaign (2017)' and the info cut down to just this it would be a good idea. EkoGraf (talk) 13:25, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I think the problem with this? Sprang into high politics? http://www.westernjournalism.com/major-confrontation-u-s-led-coalition-russian-iranian-axis-looming-eastern-syria/

There is very close cooperation since the ISIL launched an offensive in both countries in 2014. An even greater proof of the Russia-Syria-Iran-Iraq coalition. Since then, cooperation has intensified. However, to me this is longer smells like a proxy conflict within the Anti-ISIL coalition :(. The conflict had erupted very serious in South desert. http://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/originals/2017/05/syria-damascus-claim-invasion-jordan-russia-iraq-opposition.html

Cooperation between Iraq and Syria is not ambiguous. Kurds are also mediators in all of this. The last direct meeting between government officials of both countries was held on 18 May. http://www.rudaw.net/english/middleeast/syria/18052017

News large and close cooperation between Syria and Iraq in the thousands, but that's beside the point. Let's wait to see whether Iraq's army to cross the Syrian territory. If he does not, then after the end of the Battle for Mosul shorten this article and set the address in the Western Nineveh campaign (2017). That would be the only and if you hit Iraqi army retain its military operations only within its own territory (Al Anbar Governorate and Nineveh Governorate). I agree with both of them completely. I still think that this military operation was conceived as a large-scale military operation. I just do not know when and where the great center, and there are three. Washington, Moscow and Tehran. These are the three big city deciding on the next steps in the conduct of the military campaign cracking down on ISIL. --Baba Mica (talk) 15:34, 25 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Article Rewriting[edit]

This article seriously needs to be revised. I can't find any evidence that all 3 offensives are directly coordinated by the main combatants. Unless all 3 offensives are found to coincide intentionally, this article needs to be split up and rewritten as necessary. LightandDark2000 (talk) 20:23, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Agree. And several others have agreed as well here User talk:Editor abcdef#Mosul-Deir Ezzor-Palmyra offensive. EkoGraf (talk) 20:33, 23 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Since the other offensives in the article all had their own articles already (Palmyra offensive (2017), Eastern Homs offensive (2017), Siege of Deir ez-Zor (2014–present), Battle of Mosul (2016–present)), shouldn't this article be simply renamed to "Western Nineveh offensive (2017)" and have all unrelated content deleted? Editor abcdef (talk) 07:52, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I agree, Cirrus87 also proposed almost the exact same thing in the section above. EkoGraf (talk) 13:25, 24 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Mr. LightandDark2000. It takes a bit better preisppitati Russian and Iranian role in these military operations have given in this article template. In every battle (Palmyra offensive (2017), Eastern Homs offensive (2017), Siege of Deir ez-Zor (2014-present), Battle of Mosul (2016–present)) after the Syrian Arab army are Russia and Hezbollah (Iran). Therefore, I believe that all these military operations that the Editor Abcdef said, deliberately and consciously coordinated. Who is going to convince me that Hezbollah does something independently without consultation with the official Tehran? A special meeting of the Iraqi and Syrian government 18 May officials gives me to know. http://news.xinhuanet.com/english/2017-05/19/c_136296028.htm

Baba Mica, what you believe and what I believe doesn't matter to Wikipedia, unless there are sources that confirm it was all coordinated (WP: Verifiable) this is all unsourced original research which is strictly prohibited per Wikipedia policy. EkoGraf (talk) 16:11, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That's fine for now. But, please, let me go back and modify the old article when the Iraqi army began military operations in Syrian territory. For now, not yet. What if the Iraqi army enter Syria? The Iraqi government has given guarantees that the Syrian government will participate in unblocking of Deir ez-Zor. It is then cooperation. --Baba Mica (talk) 13:00, 27 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
