"Black Mall" Issue[edit]

There appears to be a dispute about including the information about the Fox Hills Mall's reputation of being a "black mall," as film director Kevin Smith has called it, in a positive sense. The source for this is Mr. Smith's blog, but it's common knowledge among local residents. I added some detail sourced from Yelp, but someone objected to that, so I deleted it. However, for hyperlocal information, Yelp is going to be about as solid as it gets for sourcing. The discussion of the urban clothing emphasis of the Fox Hills Mall, and its current transformation, is discussed by so many Yelp members that the reliability is pretty solid. To the extent that the Fox Hills Mall even qualifies as important enough to be in Wikipedia, this issue needs to be included. If there is a problem, it's not a sourcing problem, so I think we should openly discuss the real reason for the objections here, and not revert with no discussion. --TS 8/2/10 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.8.254.181 (talk) 03:17, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:The Westfield Group logo.svg[edit]

The image Image:The Westfield Group logo.svg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

Westfield Content Change Request[edit]

Hello. My name is Erik Even, and I am a Web Producer for Westfield Corporation. We're concerned that many of the Wikipedia pages for Westfield centers have incorrect or outdated information, and even content that is not NPOV.

I have read the rules for Conflict of Interest, and I will not be attempting to make any page edits. I will simply be going into talk pages, and suggesting edits, which the community may then either act on or not. I genuinely appreciate any help you can give.

Our suggested text is below, which is meant to be the first paragraph.

Westfield Culver City, formerly known as the Fox Hills Mall, is a three-level, one million-square-foot indoor shopping mall in Culver City, California, owned by the Westfield Corporation. Its anchor stores include Best Buy, JCPenney, Macy's, and Target. A transit center is located in the mall’s parking lot, which is served by Culver CityBus routes 2, 3, and 6, and Metro Local routes 108, 110, 217, and 358.
