Octaves[edit]
It would be helpful if the diagrams contained the octaves, because it's not immediately obvious how they are stacked / where they are separated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.129.87.12 (talk) 16:05, 7 April 2019 (UTC)
In the "advanced" diagram, the 7th should be removed, the 14th should be replaced by the 7th, the 21st should be replaced by the 14th.
'Consonant' as weasel word?[edit]
The use of 'consonant' in the advantages/disadvantages section seems in the vicinity of overselling the subject of the article, because it is only the intervals of fifth, fourth, and octave that are much simplified by this key arrangement; other consonant intervals such as the third see no simplification, and possibly even a complication in that fingerings for a major and a minor chord are quite different. By itself this need not be a problem—an improvement (if that is what it is) for just fifths is still an improvement—but the presentation becomes problematic when the article text is mainly giving a discussion of the topic, whereas most of the base information—such as fifths being simplified whereas thirds are not—is "hidden" in images. We are given a claim, but not enough context to reliably interpret that claim.
Also, it would help to get some indication as to how one would typically orient one's hands relative to this key grid. Are the fingers mostly vertical, mostly horizontal, or at some angle? There could well be several possibilities, but actual instruments are probably built to favour one orientation. 212.37.28.208 (talk) 23:13, 25 December 2017 (UTC)
