The topic of this article is incredibly interesting! I would love to know how you stumbled upon this topic and ultimately why you picked it. With that being said, I do have some feedback for the article as it stands right now. So first, I think you need to work a bit on adding citations. After reading the first main section of the article, it was apparent to me that there are many facts listed that are not cited. I know it seems a bit silly to cite every line, but the evidence you are presenting is not common knowledge, therefore a citation is typically required. Additionally, the usage of quotation marks makes the article a bit confusing to read. Particularly in the second to last section, I struggled in identifying the point you were trying to get across because the quotes made the sentence rather choppy. Flow could definitely be improved with a good proofread and paraphrasing. Finally, the link between this case and the Baze v. Rees is a bit unclear. I am not sure I understand why the two have been linked together for this article. I suggest expanding on this. Also, I found myself wondering at the end of the article if Wilkerson was actually killed by firing squad. That evidence was never presented. Keep up the good work!
I think this topic is a great choice, very interesting and different from the other topics being discussed for class. Your article has a great start to it, but I think a few changes will help to make a stronger article over all. I agree that there should be more citations, and since this happened so long ago, it may be harder to find them. I did notice that you mentioned a case that was similar and happened not too long ago, maybe you could add more cases that relate to this one. Also, maybe you could put more information in your article about the death penalty and the history of it in the United States. I think that would be interesting and would add to your article. I like the topic. Just as the others said, I would be very interested to hear why you chose it! I would proofread the "Court's Decision" section again. There is a quote that I believe was typed in twice back to back, "shall suffer death by being shot, hanged, or beheaded". I find that reading things out loud will really help when it comes to checking on how something flows and how it sounds overall. Another sentence that stuck out to me was the last sentence under the "Court's Decision" section. It says, ...Wilkerson will be taken to a district somewhere in the district on December 14th..." which didn't exactly make sense to me and it felt like maybe it was just missing a small detail to pull it together. As the others have already noted, I would expand on the "Baze v. Rees" section if you could. Just because I was curious I looked it up on google and came across a good page from Cornell's law school that I found very helpful and believe you might too.
