What does this phrase have to do with the article? "though he could not play basketball because blacks were then barred from the team." There is no reference point. It does not say he went to the university to play basketball, nor that he hoped to play it while there, merely the he was not allowed to. If there was no intent to do so, nor any desire to do so, how in the world does that fact (assuming it is true) have any bearing on the substance of the article?209.106.35.45 (talk) 21:10, 7 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
