Fair use rationale for Image:Grand Director 001.jpg[edit]

Image:Grand Director 001.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Captain America box[edit]

Why isn't the 1950's Cap/Grand Director in bold when on his page?

Captain America (William Burnside)William Burnside (character) – Despite the character's debut as a "substitute" Captain America, he also recently more recognized as Grand Director. Plus, it might upset fans of having Captain America name to be associate with a neo-Nazi character. Notability[edit]

Leaning notable. See reception I've added, Gscholar suggests there are some others sources to cite but I did not check them for SIGCOV. Two works by one author, however, suggest borderline notability at present, so I am removing notability tag. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 00:09, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed, that seems to boost it somewhat; unlike the retconned second and third Caps this guy has generated some coverage due to the whole weirdness; wouldn't surprise me if there's stuff out there in Amazing Heroes, Back Issue, Wizard etc either. Naturally sources are needed for a lot of it still but yes, notability seems established now =) BoomboxTestarossa (talk) 00:15, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
An important thing to keep in mind when searching for coverage for this character is that the "William Burnside" name was only added a little over a decade ago, while the character was envision over 50 years ago. He was known as the "Grand Director" for a greater portion of his publication history than he has been known as Burnside. BOZ (talk) 02:14, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
