Fair use rationale for Image:Grand Director 001.jpg[edit]

Image:Grand Director 001.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Infobox image issues[edit]

Grand Director.jpg, the current infobox image has one or more issues in regard to the non-free content criteria policy, non-free content guidelines, and/or Comics Project infobox image guidelines. These issue(s) are:

Head shots - The current image consists only of the subject's head or head and shoulders. The image should cover at least the head and full torso, with a full figure being the most desirable.
In shadows - The current image shows the subject of the article hidden in shadows. Since hiding/lurking in shadows is not part of the "look" of the subject, an image without such an element should be used.

While the current image is better than nothing, which is what the previous one taken from the OHOTMU was going to leave, a better image really needs to be found.

Please keep in mind that image taken from source like DC's Who's Who or Marvel's Official Handbook to the Marvel Universe cannot be used within the article.

Once this issue is resolved, please add " |fixed=y " to the template generating this message.

Captain America (William Burnside) → William Burnside (character) – Despite the character's debut as a "substitute" Captain America, he also recently more recognized as Grand Director. Notability[edit]

Leaning notable. See reception I've added, Gscholar suggests there are some others sources to cite but I did not check them for SIGCOV. Agreed, that seems to boost it somewhat; unlike the retconned second and third Caps this guy has generated some coverage due to the whole weirdness; wouldn't surprise me if there's stuff out there in Amazing Heroes, Back Issue, Wizard etc either. An important thing to keep in mind when searching for coverage for this character is that the "William Burnside" name was only added a little over a decade ago, while the character was envision over 50 years ago. He was known as the "Grand Director" for a greater portion of his publication history than he has been known as Burnside. BOZ (talk) 02:14, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
