Original research[edit]

Is the last paragraph original research? It seems to me that no conclusions can be drawn from the Chicago census, and it seems unlikely that he was in Chicago, because there were sure to be many William Whites in the census. --Michael White^T·C 00:51, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Source four[edit]

I can not find the articles mentioned for source 4, and the link just directs to the Providence Journal homepage. Upon searching for various things related to this (William Edward White, William White, first black baseball player, etc) led to a broken search system, unless I am doing something wrong. I tried narrowing it down by date (year 2004) and the search came back with articles from 2016. Not sure what is going on here. I'm not disputing that the article was there, just that I can not find it, and that the source links directly to the front page. L1ght5h0w (talk) 13:48, 2 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
