Sure he didnt achieve the full rank of General? On the books of the British official history that he was the main author his rank as shown on the front cover is that of a full General; one would note that other volumes, which were wrote by Playfair note the latters rank being a Major-General so one would assume they have not shortnend Jacksons rank.--EnigmaMcmxc (talk) 00:56, 5 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
