Untitled[edit]

Interesting article if a bit brief, I will have to get my wife to fill in a bit more information as she is his great great great granddaughter and there isn't many of the direct Le Lachuer lineage left. We still have a huge amount of memorabilia like his last will and testament, various ship plans and bills of sale, crew rosters etc. The family has given a lot to the maritime museum in Guernsey but there is still a lot to sort out. There are at least 2 biographies being written just now as well.

Probably worth mentioning as well that the Le Lacheur family founded the National Bank of Costa Rica and also arranged the construction of the first railroad among numerous other noteworthy actions. Le Lacheur also had considerable commercial links with Australia and Canada looking at his numerous trade dockets.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 149.8.248.2 (talkcontribs) 08:06, 25 August 2006

Resolution[edit]

There must be a link here to William Le Lacheur of Guernsey, the commander of Resolution (1793 privateer) from 1793 to 1799. --Broichmore (talk) 02:10, 10 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
