Death of first wife[edit]

I flagged the comment that his first wife died of flu as dubious, she died the same day as her daughter was born 27 March 1919 so it would indicate a problem during childbirth. Just looking for any other reliable references on her death, thanks. MilborneOne (talk) 17:00, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious Objection[edit]

If you have reason to think a date is dubious, then document your alleged proof. Where did you get this 27 March 1919 date from specifically (?) The corresponding Wikipedia article for Robert de Ropp cites "Office for National Statistics - Death Indices" for the 1918 death date that you have flagged as "dubious" . . . — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:558:6003:11:64C7:DFE5:4B0F:D716 (talk) 03:58, 8 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Name formatting[edit]

I believe the name formatting should possibly be changed from "Ropp" to "de Ropp" when used in reference William (similar to styling used by the rest of the family, regardless of spelling). In both recent and preceding generations "de" has been a part of a two-word last name. For example, on the wikipedia page for Eduard von der Ropp, he is subsequently referred to as "von der Ropp", not "Ropp."--Stephen de Ropp (talk) 07:14, 15 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
