Glenn Beck[edit]

If people are going to add mention of Glenn Beck's claims that the city is somehow rising above its challenges through some strange concoction of prayer and self-reliance, then it is incumbent upon Wikipedia to also mention that those claims are false. The city receives much aid from the federal and state governments, and unemployment remains high. I do not want to sound offensive, but the city isn't pulling through anything. If the Politifact article currently serving as a reference is somehow questionable, then find a better reference instead of continuously removing factual statements.TSNwatcher (talk) 00:06, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've restored the original version of this paragraph that I posted. An anon, in trying to cover up Beck's error, said, "The statement was never specifically made so was deleted...." In response, I've supplemented the original version by adding a verbatim quotation of what Beck actually said. JamesMLane t c 01:22, 19 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
