Contesting speedy deletion[edit]

Why would anyone consider a senator, founder of a major university, AND founder of the first national bank worthless? Unless it's because he was a Prohibitionist? Prohibition is part of American history! I see no reason why such an influential man from the American Reconstruction Era would be considered worthless! Definitely not a speedy deletion, IMO. If the person who tagged it believes the subject fails notability, then AfD is the venue and absolutely not CSD. Geogre 04:33, 26 June 2006 (UTC) (an administrator)[reply]
