Monster[edit]

Isn't there a type of monster in World of Warcraft called Windtalker? abelson 13:16, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Criticism of the movie[edit]

The criticism section of this article seems a little harsh. My impression is that the reviews were generally mixed rather than negative. The consistent criticism was about the focus of the movie on Cage's character's angst rather than the codebreakers the movie derives its title from.

Same here. --Johnnycash316

I removed the entire section. Given that there wasn't a single source of any reputable critic or group who said anything similar to what was in the section, it's not appropriate content. I might as well say something like "The film was praised for it's realism and portrayal of the wind-talkers"...it influences the view of the picture in a way that is not necessarily reflective of reality.

Joe Ender's "Angst"[edit]

It seems very clear to me that the 'angst' the character suffers from is PTSD, Post traumatic stress disorder. Is this something the writers of the film have officially declared? If so, it would probably be good to add it to the article. Lejman 23:08, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Origin[edit]

What is the origin of the word "windtalker"?

Was it coined for the film?

[[1]] This one says the term was used in WW2.
[[2]] excellent info, but no explanation of the term.
Also [[3]].
(But obviously, based on Code Talker).
