Buildings in Woden T.C. and its location within Philip[edit]

The article lists other buildings that are located in Woden. I presume that these are tall office buildings, many of which house Government Departments, but I don't live down that way. I think that the article would benefit from some clarification. I think it would be more valuable to know what was located in the buildings and what sort of buildings they were than simply listing their names. Could somebody who is familiar with the area please help out?

Also, the article says that although the Town Centre is technically in the suburb of Philip, it isn't regarded to be. I think that this is a subjective claim and shouldn't be included. It should simply say that the Town Centre is located in the suburb of Philip. If you wanted to differentiate, you could say that it is located in Philip, north of Hindmarsh Drive. Other than the differences in building types etc, I've never really differentiated between Woden TC and Philip. It's all a commercial area, just as Belconnen is all a commercial area. - I just thought I'd flag it for discussion before going in and changing it. Adz 01:09, 15 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Centrelink[edit]

Centrelink ... headquartered around the Woden Town Centre. - it does have offices in Woden, but seems to have more in Tuggeranong. Is the claim verifiable? Is the headquarters the new Caroline Chisholm building in Tuggeranong? Tuggeranong Office Park? see also: Suburbs of Canberra --210.9.136.112 12:14, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reference to Centrelink headquarters has been removed. There were parts of Centrelink head office in Woden TC but they should have all moved to Tuggeranong by now. MartinL-585 (talk) 05:00, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Lovett Tower and the Lovett family[edit]

On the Lovett Tower page I have removed links to Nathan Lovett-Murray's Wikipedia page, as he is not 'the family'. Although he is one member of it, there is no reference on his page to the historical basis for naming this tower after the family. I left the links on the tower's name, which were to articles that explained the name change basis.

I have not yet made a similar change to this page, but suggest that it should be made. It seems sensible that some explanation of the basis for the building's name be linked to from this article, but anyone seeking such information will not get it from the existing link. One of the reasons I have not made the change (in addition to technical ineptitude) is that someone who knows more than me about the 'Lovett family history' may wish to create a new Wikipedia entry specific to that history. In that case, the current link can be replaced by a link to the new page. Ambiguosity (talk) 05:39, 18 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
