Straightforward my @ss[edit]

"..., and is known for his straightforward reporting style"

That's coming right out. He was (is?) a lobbyist for AIPAC! And anyone who's seen The Situation Room knows there's nothing straightforward about anything he does. So I'm taking this out ostensibly because it's NPOV, but recognizing that putting this here is inserting my POV (but it's in the talk page so whatever). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.184.113.238 (talkcontribs)

Cleanup[edit]

Please discuss and suggest factors which will make this article to be improved on the whole. For an example of a good article on a media personality, see larry king or mike wallace. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by FrummerThanThou (talk)

There should a full section about Blitzer's work at AIPAC[edit]

Since it helped shape his thinking. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.188.142.75 (talkcontribs)

I see, so should there also be a full section on his family? I'm sure his family life has shaped his thinking on parenting and marriage. IP 24.188.142.75, you're logic doesn't add up. If you want to single out a lobbying organization that you disagree with, then this isn't the place to do it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Monitorer (talkcontribs) 00:15:44, August 19, 2007 (UTC).

That's a bit silly, Monitorer. AIPAC is a significant player on K Street, with a public and sometimes controversial agenda. Blitzer's family is private, and you should very well know the difference. I often agree with AIPAC's policy recommendations, but I also disagree with some. This isn't the place to debate the merits of the organization; however Blitzer's association is significant and I feel it merits inclusion.

I Do Think There is Some of Blitzer that Should Be Included[edit]

Personally, I don't think he is a Class-A reporter in anyway. I do think this article should include some viable criticism of Mr. Blitzer greatly. I'll search for some, and my personal advice is maybe you people should try and find some as well; I'm not demanding, it's really just a personal suggestion of mine.

This article on Blitzer is deliberately misleading[edit]

This article on Blitzer is splattered with deliberately misleading, fabricated, professionally manipulated and whitewashed information Under the paragraph on Jonathan Pollard several facts were obviously, purposely, deliberately omitted. Pollard was arrested outside the Israeli Embassy at the very end of his crime spree. Pollard was not prosecuted solely for being a spy for Israel. Israel refused to allow Pollard protection during his arrest. Pollard designed his own crime by using his security clearance and courier privilege to remove tens of thousands of highly classified documents from his work place to his home with the intention of selling those documents to anyone willing to pay for them. Pollard was a consummate spy who streamlined his criminal activity like going through a fast food drive thru. He purchased several office machines to store, copy and shred the material. All of this took place long before he offered to sell documents to Israel. The timeline of Pollard's activities disprove what this article is attempting to cover up. This article on Pollard deliberately intends to falsify these facts and whitewash Pollards extensive criminal activity Pollard made huge profits by selling information to anyone with cash in hand and he served 30yrs in a federal prison for his crimes. Israel had little to do with Pollard's true intentions. It is shameful, even complicit, to whitewash Pollard's espionage activity as if he was doing it all for the sake of Israel. Dozens of Zionists like Pollard have been arrested and charged with espionage in the US. These criminals are no boy scouts. William B. Farrow (talk) 05:35, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Another fact about Blitzer[edit]

CNN was once a widely respected news outlet. But this all stopped when Ted sold out CNN to special interest which then moved the CNN hq from Atlanta to DC and placed Blitzer as a lead anchor. Blitzer worked for AIPAC near the time that Lawrence Franklin, a lead AIPAC operative, was arrested for espionage and during the era where AIPAC influence on Capitol Hill was at a crescendo. The residue of AIPAC's influence in DC is clearly evident by Senate and House appointments which is ongoing today and will likely not subside as long as corruption in DC is so widespread. Political influence can easily be purchased in DC. William B. Farrow (talk) 05:42, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
