Permission for publishing the walkthrough[edit]

Just so you people know, I actually have the permission of the original author to publish his walkthrough. His name is Jeroen and he is Dutch (like me). I talked to him through e-mail. He published the old site on his new domain as a proof that it was actually his site: http://www.strafefox.nl/warpzone/wb_index.htm.

I put the walkthrough back on, I hope it is OK now.

I was also in the process of adding pictures to the walkthrough. I am very busy at work at the moment however, so that might take some more time. --posttoast 22:02, 27 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good idea. That does mean I have to play through the game once more to make some screenshots, but that shouldn't be a problem. posttoast 21:31, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I see you've already added Monster World itself as well, let me think.... A list of the Bosses, perhaps? H Hog

I just added the Darkworld Prince! I would like to add some more pictures to liven up this Wiki-entry a bit. I am not sure what pictures to use and where to place them though. Suggestions are more than welcome :) posttoast 20:25, 28 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi H Hog. I was in a retro-mood so I decided to load Wonderboy in Monster World in an emulator. It's still a great game! I think it is a good idea to add the Darkworld Prince. If I have time I will do it later this week. --posttoast 22:43, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Smooth editing job, Posttoast. You've really gotten busy! Anyways, I was thinking of adding the Darkworld Prince to the list of other characters; he slipped my mind before, but I certainly think he's important enough to deserve a mention, something along the lines of "The prince of Childam has gone missing recently. Rumor has it he was abducted by an evil force..." or something to that effect. Y'know, so not to spoil his identity and the ending. What'd you think? --H Hog 20:43, 27 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wow, cool, really cool! That was very generous of him. :) However there is another problem, and that is point 8 of WP:NOT, "articles should not include instruction ... or contain "how-to"s. This includes tutorials, walk-throughs, instruction manuals, video game guides, and recipes." It cites Wikibooks as an alternate host, but due to some policy shifts videogame guides are no longer welcome there either. Wikibooks' videogame guides are in the process of being transferred to StrategyWiki, so I've exported this guide to a new page there. This is finally the start I need to dig up my unfinished walkthrough, so I'll gradually merge what little I've got done there. To become more compliant with point 8 above all of the walkthrough and some of the gameplay info should be removed from the article and instead left solely in the guide. I haven't re-uploaded the images there so they're broken for now (except for my one of course). Anyway, that's the way policy goes so I hope my alternate solution is to your liking. :) GarrettTalk 06:17, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, if that's the way it's gotta be, then I guess that's that. Glad to see there's still a place for it, though =) H Hog 17:24, 28 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm with H Hog here. Thanks for moving it to the other place :) --posttoast 08:11, 29 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Saving[edit]

I'm making note of the saving features as this was rather uncommon for genisis games at the time. Blue Leopard 21:47, 5 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article Structure[edit]

I think the structure of this article can be improved by following the example of a featured article. Specifically, Final Fantasy VI. I'm going to go ahead and try to do that. EEPiccolo 17:24, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Main Character[edit]

Can we have some more info on the main character, Shion? Maybe a picture a bit less, well, awful than the box art? Antisora 14:12, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:The Elder Dragon's grandson.png[edit]

Image:The Elder Dragon's grandson.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
