Needs places[edit]

The locations, not just dates, need to be added for these events. — SMcCandlish [talk] [cont] ‹(-¿-)› 03:26, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

List of female winners[edit]

Here's a list of the winners of the "World Ladies Billiards Championship" by World Billiards. The Ladies Championship has been held since 1931 for amateurs, between 1931 and 1950 there has also been a professional one. Since 1998 the championship has been organized by World Ladies Billiards and Snooker, obviously a subsidiary of the main WPBSA. --SamWinchester000 (talk) 22:18, 30 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That info should, IMO, go to World Ladies Billiards Championship. Feel free to create it. Armbrust The Homunculus 22:52, 30 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm surprised and happy about the fast answer. However, I only wanted to note it here so that the general existence of that competition doesn't get forgotten (after I had to search for it quite a while when wanting to control the article of Karen Corr in terms of English Billiards). Actually, as there seems not much to be known about the competition I wouldn't be sure if an own article would make sense, but that won't be my decision. I only wanted to secure the information about it here. --SamWinchester000 (talk) 23:19, 30 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

World-wide[edit]

Were there any contestants in this ‘world championship’ from outside the UK? Bever (talk) 01:32, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Bever: I don't think there were in the early years, and definitely not in the early challenge matches, but certainly from 1932 onwards there were. In 1933, Walter Lindrum became the first winner from outside the UK. Regards, BennyOnTheLoose (talk) 08:22, 18 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
