Pat Gibson
Despite being from Ireland Pat Gibson competes for England, is it ok if I change this to update that? C. 22468 Talk to me 17:24, 30 November 2012 (UTC)

Does the table of WQC champions etc need to be updated then as Pat Gibson is still shown as Ireland there. But England in yearly tables. Either way it is confusing.Robnock (talk) 21:47, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
Jane Allen (Director of the IQA that runs this event): Yes, I went and changed all references to Pat to say England, but someone keeps erroneously changing them back to Ireland. Pat represents England and is on the England quiz team. The official website of the event lists him as representing England: http://www.worldquizzing.com/about-us/history/ To reiterate - he does NOT represent Ireland irrespective of where he was born, he has been a resident of England for over 25 years and, as such, is entitled to represent England, which he has chosen to do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.8.53.149 (talk) 06:32, 17 August 2019 (UTC)
