Canada and International[edit]

Can anyone try to include Canadian and international totals please. For what its worth, can canadian and international ratings be included in all articles about TV ratings if someone can find them.--Nick Dillinger 08:01, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

2008 Game 5[edit]

The reason I accessed this article was to investigate the ratings difference between the first half and second half of game 5 in 2008 which were separated by 2 days. I'm very interested in finding out if the national discussion over the suspended game generated more ratings for the conclusion of the game. I would like to see information in the table (or maybe a notation below) which shows ratings for the two separate nights as well as the aggregate rating. Thanks for past and future contributions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.244.152.152 (talk) 23:26, 31 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Chart doesn't match the table below it or text above it[edit]

The narrative says "The least watched World Series was in 2012, which was a four-game series that averaged a 7.6 rating and 12 share." If you look at the bar chart, you can see the bar for 2012 is clearly higher than 10. It looks like the bar chart is mislabeled and it's showing average share, not rating. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.15.20.5 (talk) 11:39, 24 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Ratings for the 2011 World Series[edit]

For the 2011 World Series, the mathmatics indicate that it averaged a 9.9 rating. 8.7 + 8.9 + 6.6 + 9.2 + 8.8 + 12.7 + 14.7 = 69.6. Divide by 7, and you get 9.942. Even if you round off, you still get 9.9, so putting 10.0 is inaccuracy.

Granted, TV by the Numbers said in October 2011, "[The] 2011 World Series on FOX averaged an 10.0/16 with 16.6 million viewers." (http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/10/29/world-series-game-7-averages-25-4-million-viewers-most-watched-world-series-game-since-2004/108958/)

However, this appears to be a round off, from 9.942 to 10.0, the cleaner, rounder number. The mathematics, again, indicate a 9.9 average, and Forbes.com (in October 2014) said, "the seven-game Indians-Marlins matchup in 1997 drew a 16.7 rating, compared to 9.9 for Cardinals-Rangers in 2011."

I believe we need to use the accurate number (9.9) as opposed to the erroneously rounded off number (10.0). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.41.160.197 (talk) 02:41, 31 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Older ratings[edit]

Sports Media Watch has figures going back to 1972 here, with ratings and viewers (no share figures). Thoughts on extending the table on the main page back that far? I'm willing to add the figures, if other editors believe it would be worthwhile. Thanks. Dmoore5556 (talk) 02:29, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to start adding pre-1984 content to the table. Dmoore5556 (talk) 04:19, 3 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
