– Remove delimiting comma per WP:NUMERAL. I have included the men's 10,000 – or 10000 – in the RM for consistency, although the guidelines say that five digits or more should include the comma, because I think it looks a little awkward in the context. Object if you want to. It could also be discussed whether the men's and women's record articles should be merged, like in Category:World records in swimming. • Support the first eight per WP:NUMERAL. However, I'd recommend following it with 10,000 as well. The guideline is there for a reason, and will help distinguish 10,000 from 1000. Incidentally, I think merging would be a good idea as well. --BDD (talk) 17:25, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: there is a problem though with articles like 2012–13 ISU Speed Skating World Cup – Men's 5000 and 10000 metres. It would mean that such articles would have an inconsistency within its very title. I suggest that since the 10k is at the end of the range of the otherwise 3- or 4-digit distances of speed skating, we keep it consistent. I mean, nobody skates 12k, 15k or 20k. I'm sure there are longer races than 10k, but there aren't longer "standardized" distances. HandsomeFella (talk) 19:24, 15 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, no real opposition if someone wants to come and take care of this. --BDD (talk) 22:03, 17 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
