Are they still in business?

According to IMDB and a few other industry sources they no longer have any active film or television productions, they are officially out of their office space at the Ed Sullivan Theater in Midtown Manhattan in New York City and CBS has disconnected all of their telephone lines. I'd like to change this to the past tense if that is permissible unless there is something to the contrary that show it still as an active production company. Although they have moved out of their office space at the Ed Sullivan Theater, the company is still in business. According to their filings with the New York Secretary of State, the company is still active and has moved their primary offices to Los Angeles [1]. Second, the company recently opened a new website to do licensing: see [2]. 青い(Aoi) (talk) 10:33, 4 October 2015 (UTC)
Actually no they didn't move to Los Angeles, that address is for Fred Nigro's office who is David Letterman's business manager and it is used for legal correspondence such as corporate filing with various Secretary of State etc... and WWP does not conduct any production business there nor does Mr. Letterman or his staff maintain offices there. Further the contact information for WWP the licensing website is for a third party vendor called MediaMine who apparently now handles licensing on behalf on Mr. Letterman and is not an affiliate of WWP or Mr. Letterman. So unless a verifiable address can be provided I would say Worldwide Pants is deader then my grandmother. YborCityJohn (talk) 19:10, 6 October 2015 (UTC)
I do not dispute that Worldwide Pants doesn't have any active production business. However, the business still exists and is still doing business: No articles of dissolution were ever filed, and the company is actively soliciting licensing of its library on a brand new website. 青い(Aoi) (talk) 08:22, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
On second thought, I do see where you are coming from. I can live with the former version that discusses the company in the past tense. I do believe, though, that there should be a sentence at the end of the article lead stating that the company still legally exists and is actively licensing its 30+ year library. Have a great day, 青い(Aoi) (talk) 08:52, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
This should be present-tense. The WP:RS say that it's still doing business. The only arguments against it being "past" are not only based on improper synthesis, but synthesis from the unsourced assumption that ongoing businesses have to have public offices or public phone numbers or have to be an "active" production company. I'll bet the people that work for Carson Productions would be surprised that they don't really exist, too, not to mention all those holding companies that are raking in millions (or billions) of dollars without inviting the public's visits or phone calls. WP:SYNTH, let alone assumption, is not a basis for claims in a Wikipedia article. --Closeapple (talk) 06:44, 23 October 2015 (UTC)
User:Closeapple actually Carson Productions DOESN'T EXIST anymore. Johnny's nephew and former Tonight Show Executive Producer Jeff Sotzing shut down the company after Johnny's death and formed a new totally separate and unrelated company called Carson Entertainment which was the successor to all the Ancillary Rights to the Tonight Show catalog so technically like Worldwide Pants, Carson Productions is a company that no longer exists. According to the NY Department of State, Division of Corporations, "Current Entity Status: ACTIVE". Bazj (talk) 16:55, 9 November 2015 (UTC)

Still active in California too, Entity Number: C1887911, Status: ACTIVE. Bazj (talk) 17:04, 9 November 2015 (UTC)
This article makes no sense - it starts off in the past tense and then concludes by stating the company still is in business - you can't have it both ways. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 192.158.48.16 (talkcontribs) 12:25, 12 January 2016‎
