Should this still be flagged as part of Wikiproject Rowing? It looks like it is a sailing race and not a rowing race? Boatman 12:21, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Needs Lots of Work[edit]

As a start a simple chart of the years the race was run, the number of competitors and winners would be a great start. Also, two of the three remaining links are dead. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ZeroXero (talkcontribs) 22:04, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I've created a rough template for the races history.

I also suggest removing the "Prizes" section, as it seems to apply only the the 2003 race, which was cancelled.

I also suggest removing the whole section on one of the founders death, though it could be mentioned in the intro, it's not really deserving a whole section, and the article is on the race, it's not a bio of the founder. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ZeroXero (talkcontribs) 23:32, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Updated Page[edit]

I have updated this to include the changes I suggested, including adding a new table which makes understanding the history of the race at a glance possible.

I had two changes reverted: one was simply removing the note about the founder dying. I don't think this is really OT for the article, and if it is maybe should be under the history section in general . For the time being I've left it as reverted.

The other change was to rename the Winners category to "Race Strategy". The winners category is *not* about the winners. It explicitly says "here is some stuff from people who competed". It does not list the winners, nor is the advice from a team that won.

So, I have reverted this to the more descriptive and factually correct heading. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ZeroXero (talkcontribs) 00:19, 6 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
