Tom Ellis in 1983[edit]

it said here that in 1983 Tom Ellis moved to fight Clwyd South in 1983, but that seat did not exist until the 1997 general election. In fact, he stood for Clwyd South West, which indeed is what the cited source states. Although similar the old Clwyd South West seat was not identical to the later Clwyd South. @Japhes5005: Japhes5005 You encouraged me to do a bit of Googling and you're right to be sceptical! This link to Google Books shows he was a Welsh nationalist, so the "i" and "n" are small case, not large case, and I'll amend the link now. Party descriptions back in those days were notoriously slapdash so not that surprising that mistakes seep through. doktorb _words^deeds 23:25, 26 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
