Environs[edit]

There are several sentences concerned with the area around the station. These veer from highly relevant (nearby foundry being a source of trade) to the trivial (etymology of the name of the district, main roads built after the station closed). I'm not sure how to refine this sensibly. --Redrose64 (talk) 10:14, 21 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Anachronism[edit]

'The SSR was absorbed by the London and North Western Railway (LNWR) in 1967'.

This can't be correct.

(The South Staffordshire article does not mention when it was that the SSR was absorbed)

Pinging User:Redrose64, as the information was added in this edit. The SSR was taken 1861, according to London and North Western Railway#Acquisitions, though there's no citation. Optimist on the run (talk) 06:35, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Awdry says leased 1861, absorbed 1867. Must be my typo 9 for 8. --Redrose64 (talk) 10:16, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
