Contested deletion[edit]

This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... it WAS a badly written stub (internet crash / confusion) about a legitimate British car manufacturer, as notable as most other early manufacturers that were terminated when WW1 changed the world. The idea that it may 'not be notable enough for an encyclopedia' is particularly idiotic - as the quoted source is an encyclopedia. I have now added another encyclopedia ref which I hope is sufficiently encyclopediaic to satisfy this criterium. (your reason here) --Chienlit (talk) 06:54, 24 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the CSD tag as the presence of a reliable source that verifies anything about the subject is sufficient to clear the criteria. The nominator is new and has had a few other speedy tags declined, so I wouldn't worry too much about this - an admin always has to double check the tag.
