Untitled[edit]

I looked at other X-team pages (that were not simultaneously titles) and they used the past tense to refer to the team. I think that it is even more relevant in this case seeing as this group no longer exists. Why should we refer to it in literary present instead of past? The bull about confusing it with historical events does not apply, and I think fans would be even more confused if this article was in present tense, as they might think it is a current storyline. This is addressed in the WP:CMC editorial guidelines. --Chris Griswold 06:32, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Did it[edit]

Alright, I did as asked (even though this is not my page, I kind of took over it). Hopefully it meets requirements now, so I have removed the clean-up dates. I continued to use the past tense in the background info section because those events were prior to the first appearance of the team. Tullyman 16:26, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You don't need to be shy about what you did. Your edits were good. --Chris Griswold 20:46, 10 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nazi parallels[edit]

Could someone mentioned how Casey originally had the team with more parallels to Nazis, such as a swastika emblem, but he had to tone it down?

"The X-Corps storyline got off to a dodgy start with the release of advance art showing the group in what seemed to be a kind of X-Men uniform crossed with neo-Nazi regalia. It's clear enough what Casey was heading for - they ought to look like stormtroopers. Unfortunately, the original design went way over the mark, and was greeted with widespread horror. Instead, the issue goes for a drastically watered down version where they really don't look much different from any other X-Men team. Somewhere in the middle there would have been a happy medium."[1]--DrBat 04:13, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Uncanny403.jpg[edit]

Image:Uncanny403.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
