Character List[edit]

Should we really have a list of characters when some aren't even confirmed who they were meant to be, while Wolverine, Cyclops, Nightcrawler & Magneto were obviously them, the other two could easily be anyone. Th Spikey haired man for instance, looked more like Iceman, especially since he looked like he was 'ice-ing up' while the woman seamed more like Jean since she created a pink mist, which in the X-Men franchise is usually used for her inner conscious. While the IGN Rewind-thing did sugest it was Emma Frost since Jean is (Currently) Dead, they only said it was a possibility it was Pyro & actually said it might be Iceman first.--86.177.70.98 (talk) 14:38, 31 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with him. I think the character section should stay but say something like familiar character shadows can be seen in the trailer.--Lbrun12415 17:03, 20 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with the removal of the names, and with that wording.-5- (talk) 07:55, 21 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Characters - Jean vs Emma[edit]

Because the character list is based upon the speculation of the IGN people, can we just leave it as what they said? There's been a few changes to and fro over if it's Jean or Emma when neither character is close to being confirmed anyway. If the article is going to have speculation in it as to characters (which is another debate entirely), at least have it sourced by something! BulbaThor (talk) 18:13, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly, we have no way to tell who it was in the trailer until more information is revealed, which is probably why we should remove the list in the first place.--81.159.169.80 (talk) 15:16, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I removed the list. If anyone has an issue with it, they can discuss it on this talk page.-5- (talk) 23:42, 13 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Characters.... again[edit]

In a recent edit someones referenced some screenshots with regards to characters in the game, and whilst Gambit (pictures 1, 3 & 4) is clearly himself, the one I'm assuming is meant to be Storm (pictures 6 & 8) I think personally looks more like Surge, and the one I assume is listed as Quicksilver (picture 5) might well be and probably is, but is in the source linked is a bit blurry. As such I'm going to edit that paragraph into the 'Characters' section, and drop the latter two, and add in a bit about the player character. I also added that the screen shots haven't been met with great enthusiasm, as thats all I got when looking for more information! I assume they're not representative of the finished thing, so I don't know if it's necessary?BulbaThor (talk) 01:45, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Release Date[edit]

According to Amazon, the game is on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii and DS, and is due to be released on August 31, 2011 in the US... is Amazon a reliable source? I've never been involved in a game article at this stage of development! BulbaThor (talk) 21:08, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No, sites like that always have dates pinned at December 31, 2011. It's been confirmed by Activision that the game will be coming September 27, 2011.

Editing[edit]

Whoever is editing. Please try to keep up with the news updates. Lately, I've been changing the references to suit the current news updates both on this section and Edge of Time's entry as well. Zeta Nova 23:45, 21 July, 2011 (UTC).

No, on the official website it says it is only being released on the Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, and DS.

Pre-Order Bonuses[edit]

I don't know exactly where to put the content, but Amazon is giving out a pre-order bonus too. According to Amazon, "Pre-order X-Men: Destiny, for PS3 or Xbox 360, and get an early unlock of the Emma Frost Suits. " http://www.amazon.com/X-Men-Destiny-Xbox-360/dp/B004MXQ3DY

Looks like it just got banned[edit]

The developer has been been sued and must destroy all unsold copies. In other words, the game has been banned. This will need to be noted. It's already on the Silicon Knights article. Digifiend (talk) 02:45, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
