Notability[edit]

Please spell out notability here and/or make it clear in the article. Per WP:MUSIC there are a dozen clear cut cases, which are not eveident here:
1) Was the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent ... and reliable
2) Had a charted hit on any national music chart
3) Had a record certified gold or higher
4) Has non-trivial coverage in a reliable source of an international concert tour
5) Had two or more albums on a major label or one of the more important indie labels
6) (applies only to groups)
7) Is the most prominent representative of a notable style or of the local scene of a city
8) Has won or been nominated for a major music award, such as a Grammy, Juno, Mercury or Grammis award
9) Has won or placed in a major music competition.
10) Has performed music for a work of media that is notable...(But if this is the only claim, it is probably more appropriate to ... redirect)
11) Has been placed in rotation nationally by any major radio network.

If you consider this bothering, perhaps you should reconsider how you participate in this project. I'm not saying you can't prove that this person is notable. I'm saying that your tone and word choice are unnecessary and unhelpful, which they are. They don't prove this person's notability in any way, nor do they help you participate in a collaborative project. You are also violating a policy by personally attacking another editor. She's probably referring to the "Stop being so ignorant"[1] which certainly came across as rude to me as well. Responding with "Stop bothering me" wasn't likely to ease concerns. I can't help but get the feeling, reading this article, that the whole matter has been treated quite lightly. it seems to me that the biography downplays the murder case, putting an emphasis on the musical career of this persona, that almost smacks of admiration. as good or bad as the sourcing on this article may have been, it does seem to express some simpaty towards this convicted fellon. no attention whatsoever is given to the murder case, if not through quotes of the rapper, and the whole article seems to be written in the tone and language of a musical review rather than that of a biography. focussed solely on the music, the murder treated uniquely as the ispiration behind the records. it goes even as far as quoting a rant by the persona, about his alledged place in the history of rap music and so on.. you'd expect similar quotes to be included in the review of a record, not in a biography. this is not an interview or an article about music..it's a biography, but it does seem to me a very poor one. should it not be said, for instance, that the mentioned music label is also under trial because it's making money out of another rap artist, Antron Singleton, convicted himself for killing and feeding of the body of his roommate? I'm not challenging any of the facts written, merelly the style and format of this "biography".

I agree to some extent with the above argument. This article is very poorly written. The first paragraph of the Biography section references "the murder" without prior mention. I'm not a major contributor or editor of Wikipedia, but this doesn't seem at all encyclopedic. This first paragraph describes a family portrait that leads to a sort of cliffhanger note regarding "the murder".

There are also several uses of, what I understand to be, weasel terms ("There was talk that some songs...", "many believed his career...", "Some said X-Raided...")

Additionally, the description of his crime is interspersed in the entirety of the article rather than a heading all its own. I think it might clear up some objections if his music career and criminal activity were separated by heading. It seems that he recorded extensively while in prison, though that hurdle could be easily negotiated.

I say this article requires a rewrite, and I am only posting this opinion because I have read many other articles that were much more clear and concise that had one or more caveats and/or banners floating above the main content warning readers and persuading authors that the content needed revision. I'm X-Raided's wife. It's funny to read other people's "biographies" about a subject you know intimately. Good job for the most part. If you want accurate info go to his website at: www.blocstarentertainment.com you will also see the ACCURATE article of the stabbing incident there. Siccness.net got the article right, allhiphop.com wrote a story that was full of holes and editing errors. Be careful what you write, for years this wikipedia had his NAME wrong and his birthplace wrong. Related to Lynch and Sicx?[edit]

"He is the half-brother to rappers, Brotha Lynch Hung and Sicx"

Man, this is all taken from that LA Times article but just switched around. Isn't there a rule on wikipedia for being unoriginal or being a flat out fuckin' theif?
