XPM2 - blarg file

Hi, code for this file does not work for me ( I cant open it under winXp). Other file works.--Adam majewski (talk) 22:10, 11 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It opens and shows the word "Blarg" under Ashampoo photocommander9. ATeacher (talk) 10:40, 28 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It works perfectly with Gimp and sxpm/cxpm —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.13.182.205 (talk) 12:16, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Second XPM2 example[edit]

I have no idea what the second XPM2 example is going to tell me. Are there two kinds of XPM2? --83.189.62.247 (talk) 02:23, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed, somebody reorganized this article in the last seven years. ;-) –82.113.99.92 (talk) 17:55, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks to 76.235.160.205 for swapping (fixing) the XPM 1 and 3 examples, it was still good some years ago. ;-) 89.204.153.211 (talk) 15:09, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Suggested merge[edit]

Somebody suggested to merge X BitMap into X PixMap in September 2017. I don't see any advantage, these clearly notable formats are old, both articles are good enough, and the technical details of .xpm vs. .xbm are rather different. I feel no purpose would be served by merging the two. I have XBM files, I wanted to know about the format so I could use them with Arduino and ESP8266 microcontrollers. Since I have only a mono display, I only need XBM. I feel that merging with XPM would just confuse potential users who may be inexperienced in the use of microcontrollers and electronics.
