Middle Ages?[edit]

The section titled "The Middle ages" seems to go quite a ways beyond the middle ages. I don't know how to add a new section, or I would. Drkeithphd 19:32, 27 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Political Bias?[edit]

"Since Xanten is a quite wealthy town, the conservative CDU dominates." It's not cited and clearly shows anti-conservative/CDU bias. SWVRoma (talk) 08:22, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This simply redirects to the Xanten page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.189.103.145 (talk) 18:32, 22 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

map[edit]

The caption to the map says "Location of Xanten within Wesel district". Is the whole thing shown, the Wesel district? --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 11:48, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Vetera and other articles redirect here[edit]

I am currently translating the German article about Vetera into English but encountered the issue of it redirecting to Xanten, the contemporary city. Even though there is a History section, the translated version focuses on the archaeology of the place and deserves a separate article. My solution was to change the title to the full Roman version, Vetera Castra, and it worked. But I keep finding other archaeology articles that redirect here, like the one about the Colonia Ulpia Traiana. These articles are specifically focused on archaeology and history, and shouldn't redirect to this page, which is a general article about a place. I suggest removing these redirects.
