NPOV[edit]

I doubt that any article with a sentence starting "It abuses its monopoly power..." can be described as neutral. Grutness...wha? 09:36, 10 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • Is that better? Ldo 09:59, 10 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
  • Sure alot of people dislike Telecom, but that is no reason to create a page bashing Telecom. This is an encylopedia, not a forum. --Matt von Furrie 03:27, 30 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • But it's true...

there's no NPOV and I like it

Why no usage meter?[edit]

Why is a usage meter not a suitable link? It is relavant and it is free. Everyone needs to watch their usage otherwise they get capped. "What should be linked to: Sites with other meaningful, relevant content that is not suitable for inclusion in an article" from WP:EL. WP 22:51, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

See my comment about in the IHUG article. Link is no use to anyone except customer's of the ISP and download meters are available by the hundred's, no real reason to link to one just beause it has the Logo of the ISP attached to it. - SimonLyall 10:35, 31 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

xtra as a sub-heading of telecom nz[edit]

a lot of the media coverage applies to both telecom and xtra, and the two are seen as one and the same in the public eye. i propose merging the two, with xtra as a sub-heading within Telecom New Zealand Inzy 10:58, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'll comment at Talk:Telecom New Zealand.-gadfium 19:41, 12 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Xtralogo.gif[edit]

Image:Xtralogo.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Article changes[edit]

This article is still heavily POV I believe. I have made a few structural changes, and softened the accusatory tone of some of the many unreferenced statements made within it. I have also adjusted tense in places, because almost all of the content in this article is past tense, but read as if it were current. However, I wonder if there is even any point for this article anymore, when it might instead simply be merged with the Telecom New Zealand article, as suggested above. External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Xtra (ISP). Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
