Xylogics was an important company to the computerized newspaper editing and typesetting business in the 1970's. Xylogics systems development efforts for the printing industry led to the successful transition to general workstation and mini-computer industry in the 1980's. Many, if not most multibus mini-computer vendors used their SMD and ESMD disk controllers. They were also one of the pioneers in the TCP/IP based terminal server market and had a significant share of the market in the 1980's. I think that they were among the first DEC Unibus(???) compatable perpherial vendors. I would also check and see how many times this page has been deleted in the past. I suspect that this is not the first occurance of the page. Robert.harker (talk) 08:20, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
