Misc Section[edit]

The last statement about the graffiti group in NYC seems suspect. I am removing it until someone can show a news article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by OngoingCivilUnrest (talkcontribs) 21:43, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Barbie[edit]

Apparently YKK made zippers for vintage Barbie dolls. Worth mentioning? --83.250.94.68 (talk) 12:58, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Strangehold on the Market?[edit]

Does anyone know if there has been any monopoly challenges brought against YKK? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.48.127.244 (talk) 01:12, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Ykk-ykkap.png[edit]

Image:Ykk-ykkap.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

YKK = Yoshida Kōgyō Kabushiki-gaisha[edit]

YKK was initialism for Yoshida Kōgyō Kabushiki-gaisha (吉田工業株式会社), since 1945. Now officially like IBM the letters do not stand for anything. When and where did this change to not standing for anything happen?-69.87.203.102 (talk) 12:40, 9 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Established 1936, 1935 or 1.1.1934?[edit]

The article says 1935 or 1936. But http://www.ykkeurope.com/media/files/YKK%20Group%20Social%20and%20Environmental%20Report%202009.pdf reads on p1 "YKK Corporation, Established January 1st, 1934". --Helium4 (talk) 04:34, 13 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Internation use of "Zip"[edit]

I have edited this article to use the more international term zip in preference to the Americentric and slang zipper which is unlikely to be known outside the US. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.131.177.205 (talk) 21:44, 13 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
