Yaoi con still 85% female?[edit]

I went last September and I doubt this is still true; maybe 60% female at most. The citation is now 404... can we find new evidence of this or remove it?

BTW, that Saturday was the best day of my life. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.207.169.82 (talk) 20:08, 7 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I am associated with the folks who run the convention and staff it myself. I will see if I can prompt the publishing of new demographics. From what I recall, though, the previous article said that the fanbase was mostly straight based on anecdote, so I am uncertain over whether you will find any official demographic study of that at this point. I do know, again from a purely non-NPOV, that it is more male, in the past two or three years, than it has ever been. How much more, though? I've no idea. I will see about evidence soon. 72.193.149.205 (talk) 22:03, 21 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DMP Takeover date[edit]

I've edited the "2011" to "2012" as the year in which DMP took over the 'con. The cited link notes, correctly, that the announcement of the takeover was in 2011, but the actual first Yaoi-Con run by DMP was to be (and did happen in) 2012. 2011 was still the original core Yaoi-con staff and management, with DMP onsite as understudies. 2012 was DMP managing, with the Yaoi-con veteran staff onsite for assistance.
