Importance and notability[edit]

YHA New Zealand is a 70-year old organisation with national scope - as it's the national association for youth hostels in New Zealand. It's also a member of an international federation, Hostelling International.

Here are a few items of news coverage about it:

Of course it's also referred to in major tourist guide books such as the Lonely Planet and Rough Guide books on New Zealand. --David Edgar (talk) 14:54, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And the Governor General Anand Satyanand describes it as a "standout New Zealand organisation" and "such an iconic feature of holidaying in New Zealand". See http://www.gg.govt.nz/node/723 .--David Edgar (talk) 15:04, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
These sound like reasonable 3rd party sources. Please add them!--RadioFan (talk) 15:04, 1 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wording[edit]

YHA NZ is one of several youth hostel networks in New Zealand -- see also: [1], [2], [3]. Wording should be "a youth hostelling association in New Zealand" not "the youth hostelling association in New Zealand". Let99 (talk) 21:29, 29 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
