I always thought it was referred to in English as "NYP" or "NYP Canada" rather than "YPC" (j-beda 01:28, 3 April 2006 (UTC))[reply]

"National Youth Parliament" was the english name of the registered charity that sponsored the Youth Parliament of Canada. The parliament run by the sponsoring organization referred to itself as "Youth Parliament of Canada", at least in its Journals and similar documentation.
I believe that at the time, people would combine the english and french abbreviations (YPC + PJC) into "YPJ Canada" Fluit

New YPC[edit]

Hey, There's a new YPC (youthparliament.ca)

I'd like to see this article depreciated in favour of one for the new one. 72.53.79.42 (talk) 22:24, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is generally loath to "deprecate" articles entirely. Someone looking for information on the older organization should still be able to find it here. What I would suggest is that - if the new organization meets notability criteria (usually, the expectation is that there have been multiple newspaper articles on the subject for it to be considered appropriate for Wikipeida) - you either create a new section for this article, or a new article with an appropriate title (like Youth Parliament of Canada (current). -Joshuapaquin (talk) 17:12, 30 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
