Side-scroller remake[edit]

I swear I've heard of that, even seen pics for it. I think it was made for Windows? I remember it got bad reviews because it actually didn't scroll at all, but just relied on hand-drawn stills. Tcaudilllg (talk) 10:48, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And indeed, here it is: http://media.ps2.ign.com/media/692/692031/imgs_1.html Tcaudilllg (talk) 10:51, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It's for the PS2, and it was released by Taito and not Falcom itself (this may have something to do with the bad reviews you're remembering; I've seen this happen with other third-party ports and remakes of Falcom games). And unlike this version, it wasn't officially released in English (the PSP version of The Oath in Felghana, which was the one that got localized into English, was ported from the PC version by Falcom itself, as opposed to how Konami did the PS2 and PSP ports of The Ark of Napishtim and various companies did the console versions of the side-scrolling Ys III: Wanderers from Ys). --Evice (talk) 18:55, 6 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
