Misuse of a Dawkins quote[edit]

The article reads as if Richard Dawkins endorses Yves Coppens' status as a co-discoverer of Lucy whereas if you look at the wider quote from Ancestors Tale he is doing nothing of the sort:

Incidentally, I don't know what to make of the fact that in his native France, Yves Coppens is widely cited as the discoverer of Lucy, even as the 'father' of Lucy. In the English-speaking world, this important discovery is universally attributed to Donald Johanson.

Either this quote should removed or put in context so that it doesn't read as an endorsement, which it is not. I've just searched through the change history and it appears that the quote was originally included in its entirety and was later altered by user Lazyday. That same user has rightly or wrongly altered other wikipedia articles to read in favor of Yves Coppens.

He died Wednesday, June 21, ‘22.[edit]

There is a long obituary in the newspaper Liberation — and no doubt in many other French media. (I don’t have the capacity to work on this, but wanted to flag it.  :( Left Central (talk) 16:23, 22 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
