Sisters?[edit]

There are conflicting references regarding Syreeta Wright's sisters: Currently, the Syreeta article says songwriter Yvonne Wright was Syreeta's sister and give's one reference [1] (page 63 of the cited book). I believe the book's author is incorrect, and that while both Syreeta and Yvonne Wright worked with Stevie Wonder, they were not sisters.

These obituaries for Syreeta, from 2004, mention her sister Kim Barnum and her mother Essie Wright, but do not mention Yvonne who died in 2016. [2] [3] [4] [5]

This Facebook post on Syreeta's posthumous page says her parents names were Lordian and Essie Wright. [6]

Yvonne's 2016 obituary says her parents names were Harry and Margaret. It makes no mention of either Syreeta or Kim.[7]

Suggested improvements[edit]

@Design:, the Biography section needs additional inline citations. You placed inline citations at the end of many sentences, but the un-cited sentences also need to match up with references via inline citations. Any sentence in the lead section which is not cited in the biography section, also needs citation. Then delete the warning tags on top. Once that is done, given the article is "less than 7 days old", you can put it on Wikipedia's main-page by starting a Did-You-Know nomination. Your first DYK nomination will be a learning process, but not complicated and worth going through. See This Page and This One for instructions. This article is long enough (it is more than 1,500 characters long) and new enough (less than 7 days old), so it qualifies for the main page DYK (if there are no copyright infringement, i.e. close paraphrasing of sources, or original research, i.e. unsourced content). The subject (Yvonne Wright) has passed, therefore I can, and I will (in the next few days) upload her image and place it in the infobox. But the inline citations, deletion of the warning tags on top of the page, and the DYK nomination (if you choose to) are on you. I am not familiar with the subject and don't have time. If you have any questions about the DYK process feel free to ask me, and I do what I can to guide the process. Cheers. Bammesk (talk) 03:29, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
