Remakes[edit]

"The 2003 Retro Remakes competition produced a great clone for linux and windows." Is there a link to said remake?

Link should be more accessible now.--Kms 20:29, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Zaksund...[edit]

"A clone of the game was released on the TRS-80 Color Computer as Zaksund."

I don't think this blurb should be included in the article, unless we start to list every clones of the game for every platforms. Zaksund is not particularly notable.

There is an official Sega-blessed port of Zaxxon for the TRS-80 Color Computer programmed by Steve Bjork, and it's not Zaksund, which was rather crappy compared to the official CoCo port.

The official Zaxxon TRS-80 CoCo port is the one featured in a screenshot in this article, maybe the Zaksund reference could be removed and TRS-80 CoCo be added in the list of official versions.

Zaxxon 3D[edit]

I don't think Zaxxon 3D should link back to this page, it was a totally different game for the Master System..I don't know how to change it though...

It might be a good idea to mention if the arcade games were vertical or horizontal...this is a very important stat...! 69.107.104.206 (talk) 04:42, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

So it really is 3D? Not 2.5D? Tisane talk/stalk 22:07, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Zaxxon used in study[edit]

Ran across a study hosted on ERIC (ERIC # ED273266) titled Effect of Playing a Video Game on Adults' and Adolescents' Spatial Visualization. The study, done in 1986, used Zaxxon to test their hypothesis. Might make for an interesting addition to the article. KF6KJG (talk) 01:05, 14 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Treasure Island was first[edit]

The article says that Zaxxon was the first game using axonometric projection, but that's not accurate, as Treasure Island was first https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treasure_Island_(1981_video_game)

It also contradicts the article about isometric games https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isometric_video_game_graphics 179.51.239.162 (talk) 15:09, 16 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Pop culture[edit]

Why are some pop culture examples with no reference allowed but others are deleted for not having a refernece?

If the evidence is available in the movie/show and a specific episode is referneced how is a reference required? 66.244.218.226 (talk) 11:50, 26 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

its a good question.
Refing the episode and season is enough for me 67.69.76.127 (talk) 02:16, 29 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
